The theme of this year’s publication is Making Space.
We invite attendees to consider space not only as a physical site, but as a social and conceptual framework for new possibilities.
We’re especially interested in proposals that share knowledge, process, and experimentation, and that contribute to the spirit of Making Space through practice, dialogue, and exchange.
This is a call out for:
- Artist profiles
- Studio profiles
- Research
- Essays and creative pieces
- Interviews
- Photos and photo-essays
- Exhibition reflections and reviews
- Upcoming major exhibitions/events in 2027
- Reflections from masterclasses
(from teachers or students)
If you have an idea that doesn’t fit the above categories, reach out to discuss it with us.
Please include a short bio and a pitch, telling us how your idea connects to the theme Making Space.
Submissions must be produced within the last year, or can be proposals for new work (if chosen, must be completed by late November 2026).
We particularly encourage submissions from First Nations artists and writers, and people with a disability.
The publication aims to highlight the contemporary glass scene in Australia, so priority will be given to Australian submissions, however we encourage internationals to reach out if you’d like to pitch a specific idea.
Send your proposal to publications@ausglass.org ASAP or by 30th August 2026.
